Sometimes people tend to jumble religious communities together into one
group, none different from the other. This jumbling not only does a disservice to
the individual communities, but to the Church as a whole. Each community
brings to the greater body of the Church its specific approach or gift. One of the greatest challenges in discerning if you have a vocation to become a lay member of one of these orders is deciding what community would best utilize the particular gifts you
have been give by God.
So, what distinguishes the Dominicans from any other Roman Catholic
religious community? Four specific aspects set us apart from other Orders
and Communities.
