Dear Presidents and Vice-Presidents,

The Holy See made public this morning that our very own Fr. Augustine DiNoia is to become the Secretary of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments for the universal Church and to be ordained an archbishop.

Bishop-elect DiNoia has asked me to communicate to the Lay Dominicans of the province that this ordination will take place on Saturday July 11, 2009 at the upper church of the Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. The Mass will begin at 2PM.

He warmly invites all of the members of the FSD and their families to attend the ordination at the shrine if they are able. Please make the invitation known to your regions and chapters.
